I included an article on Tesla opening a factory in Shanghai because Tesla is a popular phenomenon in the United States, and although they have been around a long time, they are still up and coming. I thought this would be an interesting, or at least a fun fact to share with my regional report group.
I found an impressive article on China’s new opportunity into the free trade market under the World Trade Organization’s regulations. I find this surprising on many aspects. When I think of China I think trade, and as this article states China is home to more than 31 percent of the world’s GDP. I am so surprised that China is moving towards free trade because they make so much money from the trade they do, despite the disputes they have with other states including the United States. This article re sparked my interest in looking into China’s trade relations and understanding what exactly is happening between China and the United States.
Following the article above, I found an article that discusses the trade relations between China and the United States. The article goes on to say that China and the United States are narrowing down their issues and attempting to solve the disputes. Once again this is a topic I am not well versed on, and doing my report on this region is helpful in giving me the opportunity to learn more about this topic that sparks my curiosity.
My fourth article about China improving rural work regulations was a happy surprise article. We have all heard those awful jokes about things from China being made by children, and that is the awful truth, so I was happily surprised to find this article discussing improvement. In China’s rural areas the 1999 regulations are not up to date (no surprise), so with the advancement of technology they are updating the work regulations in rural areas that are, as said, becoming less rural day to day due to the advancements of technology.
