China has been capturing and detaining ethnic Uighur muslims. These people have been living peacefully in China and Tibet until recently when China began putting them into detention centers. In these they are trying to make them renounce there uslim background and become more chinese. They are also taking blood to run science experiment and discover new things. The biggest problem with this is that it isn’t done willingly. China is taking these people against their will and are taking their blood without permission, there are probably more things they have done that haven’t been released to the public.
Around the world they have received a lot of backlash for the treatment of this ethnic minority. They are purposely singling them out and capturing them to extract blood, and wipe away their culture identity. The United States is attempting to pass the Uighur bill which has high support at the time. This bill wants to put very tough sanctions on Beijing for the treatment of the uighur muslims. Beijing is furious with these transgressions while they feel that they can do what they please inside their own borders and it isn’t the USA’s concern. Chinese delegates have said the bill will negatively affect trade talks and that the USA needs to be careful with how hard they act. As of now the treatment of the Uighur muslims continues and little is done as of right now. As for the ethnic muslims groups still living in China they have voiced a lot of concern over this and are looking for a new place to live or somewhere to go without worry. Personally I don’t really know how to feel about this. On one hand I sympathize with the Uighur muslims because what is happening to them isn’t right and something must be done to help them. Yet on the other hand it’s nobody else’s problem to deal with them, or fight China over the treatment of their own citizens or at least the people who live in the country.
