The Chinese government called for an immediate cease-fire in Yemen. China has recently had military personal in Yemen. There has been endless fire and harm caused by China in Yemen. China has urged their forgiveness for Yemen and has stated that they “condemn all attacks on civilians and civilian installations.” The Yemeni prime minister has just returned to Aden, Yemen due to safety concerns. The Chinese government fully supports the Yemen government and has offered to help them. The world is extremely concerned with the current situation in Yemen as it has been in conflict now for roughly five years. Countries alongside China will help Yemen to improve its humanitarian situation.
Yemen has been in a horrendous humanitarian situation and other countries haven’t been sure how to approach it. China has taken actions too far using its military force to the extreme. It is important to solve this issue and if it means going to war then so be it. However, it is important that civilians aren’t involved. China pushing boundaries doesn’t help the cause. There are solutions if countries work together and China is starting to realize that. In my opinion, it is not safe to have U.S. troops occupying that area especially with what happened between the U.S. and Afghanistan. Actions would have to be taken by the president and other members of the government.
The Yemen conflict is the perfect situation for the United Nations to intervene. Having a collective group of nations work together to solve the conflict would be a great option. The United Nations also has a military that would hopefully not have to be used but would be there just in case. Other IGOs could also help out as there are more specific ones to the Yemen area. This conflicted has lasted around five years and it is surprising to me that IGOs haven’t been able to solve the problem.
