Recently in China they have experienced a slow economic growth rate due to the trade war with the U.S. This trade war started on July 6th, 2018 and has consisted of multiple tariffs being placed on various imports into the U.S. from China and vice versa. According to BBC, Li Keqiang, China’s second leader, “forecast slower growth of 6% – 6.5% this year, down from a target of around 6.5% in 2018.” However, he has proposed a plan to stop the slow economy, which consists of $298 billion in tax cuts. Also, he plans to increase money spent and improve foreign firms’ access to its markets. I feel as if this is a very smart move for China, as it will allow the Country to not be impacted as greatly by the trade war. It also may encourage tax cuts on the U.S. side as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Japan, Carlos Ghosn has been granted a bail by the Tokyo Court. Carlos Ghosn is the former owner of Nissan, and his bail has been set as $8.9 million. According to the article, “The court had rejected two previous requests for bail, saying Mr Ghosn was a flight risk and could hide evidence,” which is why it is surprising why they granted his bail. He also continues to claim his innocence in the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
