Wang Yi put together five solutions to help solve the issue. Other countries like Russia, Pakistan, and Iran back Wang Yi’s five points. The points follow: First, the U.S. will need to take responsibility of how they handled the situation. Second, provide guidance for Afghanistan and rebuild their government. Third, the Afghan government will break their ties with any terrorist groups. Fourth, motivate other countries to help out with Afghanistan. Fifth, convince Afghanistan to join as the fifth nation to this group of allies. The Taliban will also be told to stop with any terrorist activity especially directed to the United States. Even if Wang Yi’s five points don’t carry out, he wants the newly looked Afghanistan to provide inclusiveness, a counter-terrorist point of view, and good neighborliness.

Wang Yi’s five points certainly look accurate to me. These points should definitely be in place and need to be carried out. The way the situation was handled by President Biden was extremely poor and he needs to take responsibility. The next idea that I support is that there is a huge emphasis on counter-terrorism. Terrorism is a problem that most countries face on a day to day basis. Cutting out terrorism in Afghanistan will not only help Afghanistan grow as country, but will also help out many other countries by providing a relationship into the middle east. Wang Yi’s five points are a great idea, however they will be hard to implement.

Terrorist groups are a non-state actor that pose great threats to society everyday. Groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS have ruined American lives. These groups can be stopped. One of the United States’ biggest rivals, China, is one the main countries to make an effort to deal with the situation regarding Afghan terrorist groups, Afghanistan, and the U.S. Only time will tell if any intergovernmental organizations will step in to help or provide military for them. It is also interesting that we haven’t heard much from the European Union as we don’t know if they will help out Afghanistan or be involved with Wang Yi’s five points.

Article Link: http://www.xinhuanet.com/english/asiapacific/2021-09/18/c_1310194596.htm The Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, looks to put out the fire in the recent event with Afghanistan.
