Both are now participants in the alliance. Analysts reported that there is no chance that this will develop into Japan joining the alliance. This development is important for Japan as North Korean weapon development has continued and China has continued its aggression and military practices near Taiwan. Having greater defense with NATO will improve their safety. A chinese foreign minister stated that the region has a promising possibility for peace and should not be treated as a battle ground for Geopolitics. While geopolitics might interfere with some level of peace without it there would surely be war, many of the countries in the regions are at eachothers throats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">     I think the Chinese Analysts point is true, foreign nations interfering in the region and influencing the region for the purpose of geopolitics is ultimately bad for the region. However, without foreign interference the situation would be much worse, North Korea and South Korea would likely be in war, China would have invaded Taiwan already and Japan would be pseudo-isolationist. The Chinese Analysts perspective is only adjusted to what would be best for China and not what might be best for the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">    In class we have discussed hegemonic nations and their place in world politics and international relations. In East Asia we can see China as the main emerging hegemon of the region, its influence in the region is massive, due to this there has to be a large US influence in the region.
