Over the course of the Israel-Palestine war there have been 25,000 people imprisoned in Gaza because of their jobs within an Orchard in Israel. Thailand is now working to return their people as 30 of the 200 foreign deaths where Thais. Thailand provides almost all the foreign labor in Israel and now because of the war many have to return to Thailand broke and jobless. This also means that Israel is missing out on a large part of its economy because of the departure of Thais. The bright side is that despite the war many want to return and are hoping the fighting dies down enough so that they can go back to working overseas. <\/p>\n\n\n

This article is important because it shows the effect a country like Thailand is having with this war in Israel. Without the large work force of Thailand Israel will start to feel the effects of low workforce and begin to economically crumble . I believe its not possible for both countries to continue with this war and so I believe we shall see a greater pressure to end the war so that Israel’s economy and people do not begin to suffer. If this continues its lasting impact could be devastating, with a possible uprising to occur within the country or region. And as we’ve seen in history once one country rebels many others will begin to feel the weight of their peoples thoughts. I believe that if Israel rebels we may see the destruction or relocation of Israel’s Iron Dome which is one of the most technologically developed missile deterrence systems, which if put in the wrong hands could shift the balance of power within the world. <\/p>\n\n\n

This connects to class because we recently discussed how some countries national interests determine how they react to certain conflicts like the one in Israel. Thailand’s national interests are to end the war so that their people can be sent back to Israel to work on the orchards again because if this continues then we will see Thailand having to take care of their own refugees as well as Myanmar’s new influx of Refugees. Also with the way that the global community works we will see Thailand being forced to help every single refugee making them spend resources they barely have themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
