US authorities have declined to confirm her location to AAP other than to say she was ‘not in the US’.<\/p>\n
‘We still consider her a person of interest,’ Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters on Monday.<\/p>\n
‘We have been in contact with her and we plan to engage her upon her return to the country.’<\/p>\n
Soon after the shooting, and before they confirmed she was overseas, authorities publicly released Ms Danley’s driver’s licence photo and descriptions of two cars.<\/p>\n
Ms Danley reportedly had lived with Paddock in a retirement community in Mesquite, Nevada, about 130km north-east of Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
Her social media sites showed she was a regular traveller and she described herself as a gambling and casino professional in Nevada.<\/p>\n
The Palm Beach Post reported Paddock had bought a home in Florida in 2013 and a neighbour described Ms Danley as ‘very quiet’.<\/p>\n
The FBI determined ‘to this point’ there was no connection between Paddock and a terrorist group.<\/p>\n
It is not clear if any Australians were among the dead or injured.<\/p>\n
‘If you have any concerns for the welfare of family and friends in the Las Vegas area, you should attempt to contact them directly,’ a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade spokeswoman told AAP.<\/p>\n
