The big thing about this is that Iran uses Russian made missiles, while the anti air defense used to disarm these missiles were manufactured by the Ukrainians. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy referenced that this was a good look for the Ukrainians as the prepare for a difficult summer with the United States being distracted with domestic elections and policies.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is correct in the fact that this is a positive sign for the potential years to come in this ongoing conflict. The more defenseless and powerless that Russia feels the bigger of a win for the Ukrainians and surrounding allies. There will need to be more preparation for the coming summer and fall but in my opinion this is a huge step in the overall ending of this war.

Ukraine in this situation needs to not be so focused on “celebrating” this win and focus on who is going to have their backs when the United States can’t. With the United States being riddled with domestic and Iranian issues there isn’t enough time to put full focus in Ukraine hence a huge America size hole opened up in their defenses that must be filled with other allies.

This article displays a reference to peace and conflict as the article mainly discusses the ways in which Ukraine is planning to use modern warfare tactics to against Russia and how its spreading to the conflicts in the middle east. President Zelenskyy is also using soft power in making the information of the success of their missiles public because it creates a better image for the Ukrainian military and could open up relations for future allies to end the conflict.

Link: Link Countries in the middle east have used Ukrainian anti air missiles to disarm incoming Iranian missiles.
