As much as Westernized countries seem to condemn violence and view the Middle East as a scary and unstable area, they certainly don’t do much to combat it. Very little is broadcasted on the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, which is the largest in the world, but Britain is furthering the crisis. They are selling high-tech weapons to Saudi Arabia; however Saudi Arabia hasn’t confirmed the use of these weapons in Yemen. Saudi Arabia isn’t recognizing the destruction and life toll they had on civilians in Yemen. On the other hand, Britain is advocating for Yemen aid with the UN, but it is to Britain’s advantage to double cross everyone because they grow their economy with weapons sale, keep their reputation in the UN, and keep the Middle East in a unstable state.
