I found this article particularly interesting because we haven’t seen very much cooperation between the Palestinians and Egyptians in the past. The Egyptian administration has stated that this rare border opening is solely for refugee purposes, Palestinians in turn rushed for the borders. I think this event really puts the refugee crisis in perspective that two opposing sides are beginning to cooperate in order to help aide refugees in the Middle East. Officials say the border crossing shall remain open for four days which is enough to help many refugees. Foreign officials continue to urge Egypt and other surrounding nations to aide in this support of these refugees as well as in the fight against the terror groups which threaten the region.
