In Syria, the rebel heald provenance of Idlib is being bombed by the Syrian government. The government might be ending the rebellion, but they are also killing and displacing many others. The crisis in Syria will only get worse when Russia and Turkey help the Syrian government in launching a major offensive on the rebel-held provenance.
The Syrian war has been going on for years, and with the rebel forces waning, it is coming to a stop. The Syrian war has caused lots of people to flee the country and become refugees. This all started because the ruling class of Syria was Shi’ite and reacted poorly to the mostly Sunni population protesting, by stopping the protests by force. The country became divided into the Shi’ite government and the Sunni rebels. The Rebels in Syria where being combated by the Syrian army and later also by Russian and Turkish forces. The Syrian military had been been the ones primarily fighting the rebels, but Russian air strikes and Turkish forces have also helped the Syrian government in fighting the Syrian rebels. One of the problems with the war in Syria is that, when the Syrian government fights they tend to not care about civilian collateral. Whether it be thru chemical weapon attacks or the bombing of rebel-held cities, killing civilians and leaving many more without homes and jobs. These bombings in the currently rebel-held providence are helping end a war more efficiently because you won’t lose as many men, but there is a guarantee that they will harm civilians in the providence. The Syrian government is also collaborating with Russia and Turkey in launching a large offensive on the rebel-held provenance. This is completely overkill considering that the rebel forces are divided among themselves and that the excessive amount of troops could lead to a major humanitarian crisis based on how Russia and Syria have acted in the past. Most civilians aren’t even doing anything wrong aside from living in the wrong area due to these bombings. Harming civilians in a very unnecessary way is what sparked this civil war in the first place. They might kill the rebels, but they won’t be able to kill the disdain for the government that those affected by it will harbor.
