This whole situation makes me sad. The fact that the common civilians are holed up in their homes, just waiting to see if the violence will stop or get worse, is sickening. It’s also disgusting that the United Arab Emirates are providing these civilians and the rebels with food and other resources to keep them alive when they’re the ones causing them pain in the first place. It’s like how farmers fatten up their pigs before slaughtering them. This conflict has been going on for several years and have recently gotten much worse. The starvation rates are rising so pretty soon the United Arab Emirates will only be fighting for power over corpses. The Saudis even attempted to bomb a hospital, just to decrease their opponents numbers. I will never understand how countries or states come to be this way. I just can’t comprehend how governments and people can get so out of control or the carnage that happens because of it. I also hate how the United States trying to establish peace between the two groups has only caused more violence. It’s like the thought of coming to an agreement only makes these people angrier. As I’ve said before in previous analysis’ I do believe it is the duty of the United States to step in and do something about the conflicts of the world. As one of the strongest nations in the world I think it’s completely selfish and wrong to not do all that we can to help. I know that there is a fine line between providing aid to others and providing too much aid to others. I believe that we are capable of exporting resources and attempting to help get people out of conflict-ridden countries and still be able to protect and care for ourselves. The United States as a whole prides itself on being powerful, so I say we use that power to support others to the actual best of our ability.
