Qatar has announced that they are afraid of getting a second wave of covid-19 due to an increase in causes and hospitalizations that have resulted in the person going into the ICU. So they have released a 32 point plan to keep their causes down and to hopefully avoid another wave of Covid-19 to start. They have seen an 85% increase in causes from december into february and have announced an additional 396 causes. This would bring the overall infection number since the outbreak begin to 152,491 this includes 249 death. Some parts of the plan are to only allow 80% of people to work in their offices and workplaces. And they are not allowing public wedding o be held unless it is at the persons home where they are only aloud to have 10 people inside and 20 people outside.
I agree with what the government of Qatar is doing, they are taking precautions to make sure that the Virus does not get to a point where it did the first outbreak. I also like that they rent being too aggressive with there order they are still allowing 80% of people to continue to work and they are allowing people to go out into society. However you do have to wear a mask but that is a given. They are trying their best to keep their economy going while keeping people safe and i think they are doing a fairly good job doing it. This will have a lasting effect on Qatar economy but if they get through this sound wave with less deaths and infections then before I would consider that a win.
This connects to class by preserving the nations population in order to sustain itself in the future. If the country only focused on its economy and growing its GDP it would actually lose growth in the long run because a large number of its population would be unable to work and it would not have enough resources to pull from to continue to grow.
