Israeli forces had launched what was reported as air aggression on residential buildings. It was reported that at least 15 people were killed and another 16 injured. Israel had continued its assault on Gaza after October 7th. There are no signs of Israel stopping the assaults or slowing down any time soon. Many countries are speaking out on these actions are getting close to be genocide. Reports are saying that these attacks targeted office buildings and residential areas on purpose. These attacks have roughly killed at least 43,736 people and wounded 103,370 others, according to Palestinian authorities.

These constant attacks that just grow in aggression will leave lasting impacts on the people. There will also be much tension diplomatically in the future. The sides of the events are clear, Israel doesn’t want to let Hamas regain power, but the lengths they are willing to go are insanely drastic. It feels as though Gaza is just trying to come up for air and not drowned under the attacks. This conflict will get a lot worse before it will get better. There is also high possibility that other countries will have to get involved.

Israeli has spoken out on not planning on stopping the attacks on Gaza. In their minds it is a necessary measure to stay in power and keep security strong. Gaza is just trying to breathe. There isn’t much knowledge if they can fight back against Israel or if they are trying to find ways to push back. Neighboring countries will soon have to get involved. Or at least they will hopefully get involved to maybe bring the conflict to a close sooner rather than later.

In class there has been a lot of discussions about power, specifically hard and soft power. These recent events have shown how powerful a hard power can be. Military power can force control or submission but there are heavy coasts. There is so much death going on in the world. There is also the international relations theory of realism can be related to this story. Realists would believe this was just as the world is made, selfish and brutal.
