there are still many things going on in the middle east and northern Africa every single day. it is always one of the biggest centers for news. currently Algeria is trying to build another natural gas site, after only one year ago it got attacked by Al-Qaeda terrorist group. of course the hesitance in this is what if they get attacked again? The positives of this would be that it would dramatically increase Algeria’s oil and gas production which have been in decline for the past 10 years. Also Somalia is in the process of trying to rebuild itself. Now that the country is in new leadership, after a long dictatorship, it feels it can try to rebuild now. It seems that Egypt and Israel are at an all time high in their relationship. This could be a possible broker for peace. they have common enemies, and separate religions are getting along.While in theory, the concept of closer Egyptian-Israeli ties is potential for pushing Palestinian-Israeli peace talks along, analysts say they are having an opposite effect by creating intra-Palestinian division and diverting Israeli responsibility to come to the negotiating table. So really anything could happen.
