According to an article from France 24, a U.S. led coalition group recently dropped an airstrike that killed and injured Iraqi government soldiers and civilians. The strike resulted in 8 deaths and left 11 people injured. Several Iraqi officers stated anonymously that the accidental strike on civilians occurred because “coordination was not at the required level.” Since then, the prime minister of Iraq has ordered that an investigation take place in order to prevent future atrocities like this irresponsible air strike. In my opinion, I think American soldiers have given up on this war in Iraq and fight with Daesh. I say this because it is evident in their work that they do not care enough to check what they are doing is legitimate or correct. I think it is unacceptable that people have to die in order for something to get changed or brought attention to. With this, I think that the soldiers owe the families of the deceased soldiers and civilians some sort of formal apology or condolence because killing innocent people on your side is wrong on every level. However, I really doubt that anyone cares that civilians and Iraqi soldiers died so I don’t think that the American soldiers will receive any punishment .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
