Both nations would like the land of and around Jerusalem, and Palestine’s grip on it has been slowly peeled off by the state of Israel. In reaction to the lack of satisfaction from both nations, protest have become extremely violent with thousands injured and hundreds dead, many of which are unarmed children, disabled, and reporters. Along with the reporters I feel that these stories need to be known world wide; that the state of Israel is lashing back at the Palestinians extremely violently along the Gaza strip that is of land still claimed by Palestine. This is absurd that these two nations cannot peacefully resolve their ongoing territorial issue when their people and fellow citizens are taking the ultimate sacrifice. At the annual United Nations meeting, President Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Trump proposed a two-state solution. Israel does not want the two-state solution and is against Trump’s ideas. I think this is a dominance approach to the situation: Trump has a direct solution, although it does not satisfy everyone, it gets the job done. This is also a dominance approach because, the United States as a world power is stepping in to Palestine and Israel’s domestic issue and offering a solution. They are most likely stepping in because this issue becomes a global issue due to the amount of oil that is exported out of Israel, much of which goes to the United States, and that many states trade with these nations and worship\/value the holy city of Jerusalem. With this conflict, many religious visitors and tourists will not be able to safely visit, once again making this a global conflict or issue. I believe this is an issue where cooperation is a must: to work together and compromise would be peaceful and successful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Palestine and Israel continue on their long aged conflict of who gets what.
