To add to my analysis post from last week, on the humanitarian crisis along the Gaza strip: the Gaza strip is one of the few Palestine controlled territories lingering, after almost all has been taken over by Israel. This week Qatari bought fuel was brought to the strip, supported and in a way protected by the United Nations. I believe this was the right thing to do worldwide, because the citizens of Palestine are in dire need. Fuel provides electricity, and in this case provides it to a nation that lives on 4 hours of electricity on a daily average. The Gaza strip is still combating the devastation of their humanitarian crisis, caused by the protests and fatal attacks by the Israelis. I think the world should work together to help and to solve humanitarian crisis like this one, as a team, not only a couple states every now and then. I believe to efficiently see progress and success results, on the other end of these world issues, we must work as a world team to help the common good even if it may not directly benefit your state, it will in the long run. I do not normally take this point of view, but for situations like this one, I default to the ‘help the needy’ view. I do not always take this view because sometimes the issue seems to little to get the big United States involved, but I need to remember it will benefit the global society as a whole. I think the import of fuel to the strip will provide a kickstart for the nation to work back to a more functional territory, and grow stronger to keep it from the invasion of the Israeli government and people. It gives me hope for the Palestinians to see that they are still fighting for their land, and not giving in despite the large confiscation of it by Israel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
