This whole situation is just very weird and confusing to me. It all just seems like one big conspiracy theory. I believe that Jamal Khashoggi was killed by Saudi men, but I don’t understand why. It make sense that it was premeditated because of the body double, but if it was already planned then I don’t understand why the Saudi government didn’t have a better cover up story ready. Obviously they knew this would be a high profile story so why is their best excuse that there was an altercation before Khashoggi left and that he was only killed accidentally. The body double was caught on tape so they wanted him to be seen as Khashoggi, but they didn’t do a very good job of matching their appearances. There is a stark contrast in their outfits and the shoes gave the body double away immediately.<\/p>\n
The evidence of planning does make this seem like they knew they were going to kill him but the lack of planning for what would happen after makes it seem like it really was just a spur of the moment thing. I think that Khashoggi was killed on purpose, it was definitely no accident. I’m just having a hard time understanding why and how it wasn’t executed more efficiently. I just think its kind of bizarre.<\/p>\n
I’m hoping that answers to these questions will be revealed soon because it’s terrible that this man was killed, but the fact that no one has an explanation for it just makes it worse.
