Of the 27 Palestinians, seven of them were minors. In at least 11 of the 16 killings investigated, &#8220;the Palestinians posed no threat to the lives of the forces.&#8221; For years now, Israel has been implementing an unlawful open-fire policy in the West Bank. The policy is backed by the government, military, and the courts. Over the year the Israeli authorities destroyed at least 729 Palestinian buildings which included homes and non-residential structures. Reports said the more Palestinians lost their homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem than in every year since 2016. A document stated that 248 attacks were carried out by illegal Israeli settlers against Palestinians. Attacks ranged from physical assaults to targeting farmers or their property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In my opinion, these attacks on Palestinians are horrendous, it&#8217;s gruesome to think that these events happen around the world but it&#8217;s never reported back in the United States. With these attacks strictly happening to Palestinians it&#8217;s going to be interesting to see what will happen to them this year and if the statistics will grow since no jurisdiction is in place to prevent them from being attacked. It is encouraged by the government to carry out these attacks. I wonder if the Palestinians will revolt against the Israeli killers in order to achieve equal rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From a realist perspective we can see these attacks as selfish and Israel does not recognize the Palestinians. With Palestinians making up ~21% it is questioning why one group is being sought out when Israel is composed of many different religions and ethnic groups.
