When the Jewish State of Israel was formed in 1948 none of the Northern African countries would recognize it. In October of 2020, Sudan became the first North African country to recognize Israel. Recently, Morocco has recognized Israel as the third North African state to recognize them. The second was Egypt in 1978. The Abraham Accords helped to make the recognition happen. The Accords have helped African countries to recognize other Middle Eastern states through the years as well. Middle Eastern countries like the UAE and Bahrain signed the Abraham accords in August 2020, officially recognizing Israel. Other Middle Eastern Countries soon followed suit, and then later Morocco in October 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is very important for North Africa in the Middle East. Israel has been in constant states of violence and been under attack from many Middle Eastern countries. The Middle East recognizing Israel is a major step in the right direction, and now seeing Morocco and North Africa follow suit is important in bring peace to Israel in a time where many countries don&#8217;t recognize and hate Israel. I believe the signings from the Middle Eastern countries were the direct reason that Morocco and other North African countries followed suit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article relates to the issue of recognized states and non recognized states. Israel is not recognized by many countries in Africa and Asia and beyond. Palestine and Israel are both not recognized by many of the same states, and Palestine is considered a Quasi-State. The non-recognition of Israel and other states has led to war between countries and those trying to be recognized as a country. By Israel being recognized more and more recently, it could mean that Israel could become universally recognized as a country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>North African countries and Israel have had their tiffs.
