Israeli president, Benjamin Netanyahu, has connected with Elon Musk, owner of X, to help create a more peaceful and kind society. Netanyahu says Musk has a \u201chuge role\u201d in stopping anti-semitism, especially coming from his app that influences a vast amount of people. Musk has been formerly accused by the White House of hate speech towards Jewish people, but he has claimed that it is impossible to stop all hate speech yet he has no intention of allowing this kind of speech to happen. After Musk met with Netanyahu, they discussed stopping the war in Gaza saying, \u201cWe have to demilitarise Gaza after the destruction of Hamas\u201d and “Then we also have to rebuild Gaza, and I hope to have our Arabs friends help in that context\u201d. Musk, who is also the owner of Starlink satellites, plans to lend them to Israel. These satellites are used to provide internet over a certain area that has had communication infrastructure disabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I find this very weird and interesting because I didn\u2019t think someone like Elon Musk would get involved in situations like this. In my opinion, it is very wise for Netanyahu to look for any kind of help from Musk as he is a billionaire and has the capability to help. I don\u2019t know if stopping anti-semitism on X or sending satellites for the internet will be successful, but it is important to see that people will help even if it doesn’t seem like they would. After satellites are being used, it could help reveal even further the destruction and devastation this war is causing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connecting this article to class, I would connect it to NGOs. NGOs are non governmental organizations that work to promote social or political change and develop society.
