On Sunday there was an Israeli attack on Jabalia, which is a refugee camp in Northern Gaza. Following the attack, first responders and locals searched the area, underneath the rubble. Finding over 90 people dead, 100 injured, and some still missing. The medical centers around the area have already been overwhelmed with patients and with this new attack they got additional patients. Some believe there are a lot more Palastinians under the rubble but it is way too difficult to move all of the heavy rubble while Israel is continuing to fire. According to this article, over 80% of palestine citizens have become displaced by the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tension between Israel and Palestine started over a century ago and is still growing. They are continuing to attack one another in hopes of gaining land. Due to this continuous war and how it recently fired up more in the last decade, their countries are falling apart. I believe Palatine and Israel will not stop until one country is gone and Palestine is much smaller than Israel so it is likely it will be the one to disappear. I personally believe they will continue to fight because they are so strong in their beliefs that they won’t share or negotiate with each other. Making the only option to fight till death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In class, we have discussed the idea of peace. Peace is when countries are stable with one another and there is no violence or war. Palestine and Israel have absolutely no peace between them. I wonder if they both were democracies, if they would still have no peace. The democratic Peace theory says that if two countries were both democracies they wouldn’t have any violence between the two and respect each other more.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
