The conflict has had horrible impacts for the country as well as its people and a big part of those impacts is the displacement of roughly 4 million people in total across Iran. Those people of course need somewhere to go which is how Lebanon comes into the picture. These refugees have gone into the country however they are not equipped to take care of so many people which has led to a food crisis. In addition however Israel has threatened to expand further into Lebanon which would displace not only the Iranian people but also the Lebanese people.

This article is very important for the region because this is an example of how this conflict is likely to continue to expand outward and at this point shows few signs of stopping thus far. I think that it is very likely that Israel will be allowed to forcibly displace millions of people in Lebanon because typically the country most likely to come in and stop something like this from occurring is the United States, who obviously this time will not take any action against Israel.

The primary stakeholders in this specific part of the conflict are of course the countries Lebanon and Israel as well as the Lebanese and Iranian refugees. Lebanon seems like its best course of action may be to begin to prepare military resources of their own to stand their ground against Israel but also to begin looking to outside help against the Israeli military forces who are looking to invade further, I don’t really see negotiation as an option unless they were to receive support from either China or the EU.

This connects to various class topics and concepts with the main ones being power, this can be seen the idea that because Israel is a more powerful country they are able to take these actions against Lebanon with basically no repercussions. The next is peace and conflict and this is a prime example of how conflicts begin to spider outwards and include more and more actors over time because states involves others by doing things like this in this instance. The last is interdependence because this shows how with support from other strong countries Lebanon is in a much worse position potentially.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/27/lebanon-faces-humanitarian-catastrophe-under-israeli-assault-un In this article it discusses the impacts that the Israel and Iran conflict has on the neighboring country of Lebanon as well as the Lebanese people that live there.
