There are chemical weapons in Syria. And, so far, the international community has no idea how to handle it. At least, that’s what I see. Allowing a destructive government, like that in Syria, to hold such weapons is irresponsible yet almost necessary for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n
With the region being so unstable, I am frightened that something like sarin gas could get into the hands of terrorists. The damage and loss of life that could be inflicted is immense. How is it wicked people keep ending up with the most wicked things mankind has ever created? We’ve seen the effects of the gas that Assad is most likely keeping inside his weapon vaults.<\/p>\n
Yet, trying to take the weapons away could lead to another North Korea. Another dictator with a deadly weapon waving it around like a baby and a rattle. If we attempt any action Assad WILL meet it with force. Just as he has with his own people.<\/p>\n
The best desiccation for the US. Leave Syria alone. Don’t provoke them. Hope that they don’t lose track of the sarin gas.Let the people under Assad continue to suffer. If only to avoid war.<\/p>\n
