More than 300,000 Rohingya refugee children ‘outcast and desperate’, Unicef says

Nearly 340,000 Rohingya children are living in miserable conditions in Bangladesh camps where they lack of food, clean water and health care, the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) said on Friday. although this news has been still going around and relevant for weeks, the conditions have been getting worse.Up to 12,000 more children join them every week, fleeing violence or hunger, and more importantly, one in five children under the age of five is requiring medical. This issue doesn’t seem to be short term and is getting more serious each day. UNICEF has been providing clean water and toilets, and has helped vaccinate children against measles and cholera. This organization like many organizations helping with disasters cost millions of dollars to be able to help make a difference. In my opinion, this issue is even more important due it effecting the youth and the future of a country. Weaker and more fragile population that have more needs than adults and need any help they can get. “We just must keep putting it on the record, we cannot keep silent.” What we need to do is spread awareness against this cruelty and inequality against children and civilians. We need to help in anyway possible because no child deserves these problems so early in life and many people don’t realize how much better their lives are compared to some others like the Rohinya Refugees.
