It is very surprising to say the least that bonded labor, or slavery, is still an issue in the world. Bonded labor victims are still being found and released all throughout India to this day. While these victims are being released, they are promised to have been given compensation for their lost wages during their labor time. It is not shocking to hear that many of the victims have yet to receive their compensation. Many have argued that they should be getting more than they are, but the government doesn’t listen. The government should step up and pay these victims their lost wages and psychological help after their trauma
