An anti-india riot happened in kashmir, which is an Indian controlled city,  because 2 rebel soldiers were killed by Indian Government forces. The police and military got a tip that there were rebels in a nearby neighborhood in Srinagar.  During nightfall the police and military got into a shootout with the rebels that lasted till morning. The 2 suspected rebels were killed in the gun fight, said the police. but the residents also stated that the troops set a civilian house on fire. The police did not cover that information. The police stated that one of the 2 rebels was a pakistani insurgent that had been active in the area and was responsible for 2 deadly attacks. There was no independent that confirmed what the people were claiming. This even then led to massive riots that caused police to shoot tear gas and sand bags into the crowd, no one has serious injuries at this time.

This can be very impactful to the region and the world. This could lead to a lot of different scenarios and none of them are good and none of them will end peacefully if this isn’t handled right. This event can lead to more riots in the region by sparking other people’s passion that also want to separate from India or become independent with the help of Pakistan. This also doesn’t help the relationship these people will have with the police force and the military in the future. This can lead to even more tension and could even resemble what is happening here in the United States with the riots. Only causing a greater reason for the people to want to separate whether they are being instaged by Pakistan or not.

There is still hope for peace though, if an IGO can get involved and solve the dispute peacefully that would be preferable to losing more lives over a rebellion that started with a shootout with police and 2 rebels.
