Sudan signed the “Abraham accords” with the United States despite the signing being rejected by Sudan’s political parties in October. When the Sudanese government decided it would normalize its relations with Israel, the Sudanese political parties rejected the plan.. Officials stated they would form an opposition front against the agreement if it went through. This signing came two months after the Trump administration announced that Sudan would start to normalize ties with Israel. Last year, the Trump administration had also engineered diplomatic pacts between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

In the 21st century, countries have been a bit more inclined to not become allies but he on neutral relations with each other. By Sudan saying they would start to normalize ties with Israel, it’s saying that they recognize Israel is a country. Many countries in the middle east do not recognize them so this could start a slow domino effect into Israel becoming more recognized. However because the Sudanese political parties opposed this decision by their government, it could lead to Sudan pulling out which some don’t want, especially the United States.

This ties into the global actors discussion and how global actors and impact and inflict things inside a country. It can seem a bit that because global actors recognize they have much power, they can sort of play dolls with countries and decide that some should get along. From observations and from this article, it seems like many global actors do that for their own benefit, even if it may not benefit the submissive country.
