One of the issues in India right now is the tensions between the BJP party and the Indian National Congress party. The Vice President of the INC, Rahul Gandhi, has claimed that their arguments were a battle of ‘truth and lies’, of course saying that the INC were the ones telling the truth and the BJP being the ones who lie. The Indian National Congress was the party founded by Mahatma Gandhi, and the party is secular and nationalistic. They are the left party, who want to bring individual liberty, social justice, and secularism. It is the most dominant political party. The BJP, or the Bharatiya Janata Party, or the Indian People’s Party, is the other political party. The BJP is supportive of Hindu nationalism, and their official ideology is integral humanism. They want to implement and uniform civil code.<\/p>\n
Rahul Gandhi likened them to the mythological Pandava-Kaurava struggle, likening the INC to the Pandava, saying they were armed with only the truth, while the Kaurava is armed with weapons. He says that the prime minister Narendra Modi, a member of the BJP, has failed to generate jobs for the youth population. He also says they are the reason that the farmers face difficulties, private education and health care being so costly, as well as corruption and theft of land. He then says only the INC can provide health care, jobs, and education.<\/p>\n
Indian and Kazakh armies have joined together for a 14 day joint military exercise in the Himachal Pradesh to ‘strengthen bilateral relations and exchange skills and experience’. It’s to help enhance the military ties between India and Kazakhstan, as well as to be able to improve counter-terrorism operations under the UN mandate.
