It is a known fact that India does not have the infrastructure to supply clean drinking water to its citizens, so I see this movement as a positive thing. I also see this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Israel as something political. Israel is very U.S. backed (on the Jewish side of things) so I am curious if this is Israel forming ties with India to advocate for American influence in the region. Minister of state for safe drinking water and sanitation in India, SS Ahluwalia, said that,\u00a0“As per this MoU, both sides would work to enhance cooperation at the national, regional and international level to design, implement and monitor a professionally designed National Water Conservation Campaign in India to put water conservation on to the national agenda.”<\/p>\n
Politics aside, I think that this campaign is very beneficial for not only the citizens of India, but the citizens of the global community.
