For most countries this is a time of minimal government regulations and extreme growing pains. India is currently working its way through this stage in growth. Like the American Industrial Revolution, child labor, poor living condition and over crowded cities are all common. Along with these comes the major problem of pollution. The government has little concern for the current environmental disasters in the country. If the Indian government were to enforce the environmental restrictions the U.S. government holds its businesses to there economy would come to a screeching halt. It cost much more to regulate the air pollution or working conditions then to just let it be and work through it. The U.S. and many other countries were in a very similar situations and eventually, India, like many other countries, will be able to start enforce regulations and move to cleaner and safer conditions.

The people in India show the effects of pollution as the levels of citizens hospitalized rise and fall with the pollution levels. The Taj Mahal shows the effects of the pollution as the white marble turns yellow and green. This is very similar to what happened in American cities as smock stack filled the air with smog. I think India needs to work through this stage to be able to come out as a strong country and they will likely will do just that, at least economically due to their large population. However the sooner they get there the better. The longer the country stays in this state the harder it will become to mend the environmental catastrophes that continue to grow. Although I think other countries should attempt to guide them through these times I dont think giving them money is the most durable solution. I think they need to grow within.

The majority of countries go through a kind of industrial revolution as the country begins to modernize.
