This attack was the deadliest out of the group of attacks conducted across the country on Tuesday. A spokesman for the Kabul Police stated that the deaths in the attack consisted of four security and 8 civilians, 2 of which were women and one was a child.

Another attack that was conducted took place in the northern province of Kunduz, where an elite Taliban force known as the Red Unit attacked 15 security outposts in the Chardara District. “Despite calling for support many times, reinforcement forces never arrived,” said Gul Ahmad, a police commander in that district.

In the West of the country, Taliban fighters attacked an outpost of the Afghan National Civil Order Police in the Pashtun Zarghun district of Herat Province. Four members of the force were killed and toll only increased when reinforcements were called in as they were hit by a roadside bomb which resulted in two deaths and five other injuries.

Personally, after no real news of terrorist attacks for a while, I find this very interesting. I thought that the war on terror was possibly coming to an end but that is obliviously not the case. I feel that after the news of the attacks more strict actions need to be taken towards the Taliban. As seen by their actions, they are indeed not ready to slow down or stop and will continue to assault and hurt people until they receive what they are looking for. I also feel that Afghanistan needs to increase their security numbers and the reinforcements that need to respond when attacks are conducted in order to gain control.

In Afghanistan, multiple attacks of terror were conducted which left more than two dozen citizens and officers dead. In the city of Kabul, at least 12 people were killed in the outskirts of the city on Tuesday, when a vehicle wired with explosives was detonated near a convoy of security forces which left at least 12 others wounded.
