This group of Rohingya that were to be deported were not the first ones to be deported from India, there was another group that was set to be deported in the span of 4 months, but both of these groups were families that were looking for a safe haven and hoping for a better life than what they had in Myanmar. They are looking at every immigrant who crosses the border as a security threat when these are just families trying to escape the problems that are occuring in Myanmar and try to bring their kids a better life. The most recent family was a mother, father, and their three children who were arrested when they crossed the border in 2014 and are now being released. Obtaining illegal immigrants is okay, every country does it, but it involves kids, there needs to be more careful action taken. And no matter how old they are, no one who is trying to flee from their home country no matter the reason should sit in jail for over 4 years before they are released. They already had to go through who knows what before they even reached the border, but to be arrested for over 4 years just to wait to be deported from the country that is ruining your life is inhumane. No one should be allowed to sit in jail for 4-5 years for anything whether it is a court trial, or when they are being deported. This needs to be something that is seen by the global powers so that the next time a family is being scheduled to be deported, they are not waiting more than 4 years for the inevitable.
