The region of Gilgit Baltistan is north of the capitol city of Pakistan, Islamabad. Albeit sure Gilgit and Baltistan are relatively safe places, it still raises questions as to why the countryside is safer from the terrorists than the cities. Shouldn’t they be crawling all over the countryside not the city? My confusion as to why they chose to situate themselves where they did will stay with me forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I digress, seeing as my role here is to give in a way a commentary on the International Relations side of things, not the terrorist’s stupidity. Maybe the terrorist bust was just a hoax to give them some credibility back. After all they had a terrorist attack happen right under their noses. Later research will determine what parts of the country are truly controlled and which ones aren’t. I am under the pretext of Pakistani outlying provinces are lawless places. I must be wrong. Somehow the countryside near Kashmir Jammu is more peaceful than Quetta out west. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
The situation with Pakistan is rather ridiculous in the sense that they have the resources to capture several would be terrorists in a far away province but yet cannot stop a terrorist attack in a completely controlled region.
