For over eighty years the two countries have been having disputes over these borders, but it seems things are finally starting to look up. An Indian official says that, “Both sides are now trying to focus on achieving resolution of the balance friction areas.” While it is extremely unlikely that either of these countries will give up any of the territory disputed, they may come to an agreement that the land will be considered a dead zone for now. Allowing trade and the movement of troops within that certain area.
This agreement that is seemingly being created by the Indian and Chinese seems almost unbelievable. After eighty years of disputes they both decide to give up. I think that the article that was written is an analysis written by someone that is not sure but is making it sound like fact. After researching some more, it is true that India and China are having a border dispute but it is not true that it is coming to a close anytime soon. China and India have no plans of closing this dispute and this was only speculation. But, It is vital for China to obtain the land in this border dispute in order to carry out a new trade route. This trade route is speculated to be extremely successful and would be extremely important for China’s economy. But, India is keeping China from securing a trade route because it goes directly through their borders.
This relates to class because it shows two countries’ relations and how their national interests compete with each other. This also relates to class because it shows that neither of these countries will back down no matter what diplomatic peace they try to come to in order to have their own national interest.

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/india-china-militaries-to-hold-15th-round-of-border-talks-on-march-11/articleshow/90083007.cms India and China continue their long lasting dispute about the borders of the north-east part of India.
