This isn’t the first incident to occur recently between the Israelis and Palestinians. A seperate incident were a Palestinian stabbed a Israeli on the bus, killing a bystander, two days before a village near Jenin was raided killing five people in central Israel that was apart of a wave attacks that totaled to the killing of 11 people. A video surfaced documenting smoke swirling from the center of the Jenin refugee camp with gunfire shooting in the background. Both Israeli and Palestinian gunmen can be seen moving at each other. The Palestinian Authority, which administers parts of the occupied West Bank and coordinates with Israel on security matters, appears to have had little control over Jenin in recent years. Israeli forces operating in and around the city and refugee camp often come under fire. They hope to avoid a repeat of last year, when clashes in Jerusalem set off an 11-day Gaza war, but the recent attacks have sent tensions soaring.

Israel and Palestine conflict has been an ongoing conflict since 1948 due to the termination of the British mandate over Palestine (a non-recognized state) and the Israli Declaration of Independence which recounts for the jewish state and the UN recognition gained. This mandate divided Palestine into Jewish and Arab states in 1948. The area of religious significance surrounding Jerusalem would remain under international control administered by the United Nations. The Palestinian Arabs refused to recognize this arrangement, which they regarded as favorable to the Jews and unfair to the Arab population that would remain in Jewish territory under the partition. This UN resolution would spark that conflict between Jewish and Arab groups. While three-fourths of Israel’s population is made up of Jews, the other fourth is almost all of Palenstinian Arabs making up the majority of the minority population of Israel. Even though Israeli Arabs are full Israeli citizens, they regard themselves as Palestinians. Despite these inclusive rights, the Jewish character enshrined in state symbols and values and the broad disparities between Jewish and Arab communities has left many Israeli Arabs feeling excluded and disadvantaged.

This relates back to the concept of peace in the International system and Realist/neorealist Theory. The neorealist claims that security is the first goal of every State. Given that goal of security, states will act as best as they can in order to maximize their likelihood to exist. The neorealist theory understands power in a variety of ways but ultimately emphasizes the distribution of coercive material capacity as the determinant of international politics. Palestinians believe with the two states solutions and the exchange of security for land they will guarantee the security of both parties. The Palestinians will do everything they can, including violence and acts of violence to pressure Israel to renegotiate for a settlement because it is important for them to have their own state which puts them in security. The look in the Israeli-Palestinians conflict negotiation shed light on the nature of alliances and corporations between international organization and institution. For instance, both parties have sought cooperation from the United Nations in search of their own security.

https://apnews.com/article/health-middle-east-israel-west-bank-bb8a2fedcb369eea8a0337c317c27c69 On March 31th, Israeli forces raided a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, setting off a gun battle that killed 2 Palestinians and wounded 15 people.
