On wednesday May 18, 2022 India announced that they are going to be looking to diversify who they buy their military arms from. India has been buying mainly Russian goods with them being the largest buyer of Russian armaments. After Russia’s recent military conflict in Ukraine India is looking to start producing more of their military weapons in India. India is also looking to create deals with the United States and begin buying more weapons from the US. India would like to make about 324 million of its defense equipment in domestic firms. This will be another large hit to the Russian economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is important for many reasons. The first reason is because it will deal another huge blow to the Russian economy. After stepping into Ukraine they have already had their economy crumble with many businesses pulling out of Russia. The next reason that this is a big deal is that it will bring more business and money to American businesses because of India looking to now buy from the United States. The last reason that this is a big deal is that it will help United States and Indian relations. This is what the United States has been hoping for since India is a rising power in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This relates back to our class because we talk about how the United States has been trying to and succeeding with warming relations with India. When we talked about the different realms in the world we talked about how there could be a third realm up and coming in the near future with how powerful India is becoming. We also talked about how India used to not like the United States because we used to support Pakistan but now that Pakistan doesn’t like the United States we have become closer with India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
