Claims have stated that Hindu groups have been attacked several thousand times since early August when a secular government was overthrown in the city. Hindu leader, Krishna Das Prabhu, was arrested in the capital of Dhaka and was accused of sedition charges involving protest against religious violence . The court was supposed to hear his bail applications, but has postponed it because of rising protests in the city. This deferral made by the court for the hearing of Prabhu’s bail , has added to a rise in tensions between bangladesh and India,

This court deferral would potentially deepen domestic and regional tensions between both countries of Bangladesh and India, as well as nationwide, as Hindu is one of the top 4 of the biggest religions globally. This case could cause diplomatic strains, particularly related to border issues, migration , and religious grounds. These protests by Hindu groups have brought to light the situation of religious minorities in Bangladesh, where hindus have faced violence and discrimination. Lastly, this situation could worsen Bangladesh-India relations, tensions surrounding religious issues in Blangesh may be seen as indirectly linked to India. Long-lasting both India and Blanglsehs could have a rocky domestic stability and foreign relations between the two will impact the region, as well as the protection of the people and the religious minorities.

Liberal theory can come into place for this article, emphasizing interdependence. External factors, specifically NGOS more like human rights organizations may play a role in this situation. Human right organizations will push Bangladesh towards addressing the minority rights issues taking place in their country. This will lead to Blangesh to improve the protection of its hindu population within its borders as well as other minority groups. Overall, this situation could change may things in the future for India and Bangladesh as well as other countries around the world to bring to light the struggle that minority groups have in foreign countries.

Link:https://apnews.com/article/bangladesh-india-hindu-leader-hasina-minority-groups-c45812dce748aec95e0430a977d71ef5 Recently in public news a legal case is being shone into light, a recent Hindu leader was taken into custody for leading a huge protest in the southeastern city of Chattogram in Bangladesh.
