Trump has warned of potential military action if the negotiations fail. Despite these tensions, both nations have expressed a commitment to diplomacy. Iran’s foreign minister reaffirmed Tehran’s determination to secure a negotiated solution that ensures the peaceful nature of its nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions. Omen, acting as a facilitator stated that a new date for the talks would be set once all parties agree

Are we really surprised by this? These negotiations have been all over the place and I can’t say that they will end well. I do believe that both parties are looking to discuss but if Trump is threatening military action, it can only make a situation worse. In fact it makes me wonder if Iran would get angry at that threat. Will negotiations get worse? Will Iran refuse to once again have negotiations with the U.S. now? I don’t think this should be a cause for concern, especially since Iran isn’t threatening us or anything but I do think we should worry about our relations with them.

I feel as if Americans and Iranians don’t have a good relationship with each other, but in very different ways. I know that if an American went to Iran then there would be many people that would be happy to house them and cook them food, etc etc. But if an Iranian came to America I don’t see our people welcoming them with open arms. In fact I know someone who actually worked very hard to escape Iran to come to America, and I remember my mom telling me how she built her way up here to get a good job and what not.

This article reminds me of when we watched that video on that guy that went to Iran to see if it was really how American propaganda makes it out to be and he found that there were some parts that were like that but as a whole not really. It was mostly very different maybe 50 years ago but over time it has definitely changed more. Especially comparing that documentary to my mom’s friend’s story, it feels very different and it makes me wonder how different Iran was back then but I know that if I asked your average American then the answer would be like reading off any anti-Iran propaganda.

SOURCE

The fourth round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US scheduled for May 3 In rome has been postponed due to “logistical and technical reasons.” This delay follows the US imposition of new sanctions targeting companies allegedly involved in the illicit trade of Iranian petroleum and petrochemicals, part of Trump’s “maximum pressure strategy.
