The main goal was to strengthen the relations between the two countries and integrate Israeli companies in Ethiopia. Israel has cutting-edge technologies, and Ethiopia is considered to have the largest economy in Africa. Both business people and Government Representatives worked together to come to this deal. Out of the agreement, Ethiopia gets technologies to tap into its extensive water resources to help its citizens. Israel gets to strengthen its diplomatic position in Africa, Putting itself closer to countries like Egypt.

Ethiopia and Israel do have good relations historically due to the population of Ethiopian Jews. The collaboration between the two nations is nothing new. These events are just a strengthening of already existing deals. This is also a win-win scenario for the two nations. Ethiopia gets Israeli Technology to better its water resources, something that they desperately want to invest in, and Israel receives closer proximity to Egypt and other North African countries that want there to be a Palestinian state but are hesitant to work with HAMAS. By having a solid presence in Ethiopia, Israel may get to the ear of Egypt and North Africa more efficiently, even if it is intimidated by the words “Oh look, we’re in Africa now.”

Ethiopia and Israel can keep doing what they are already doing. It’s working well for them, and they benefit from the deal. As long as they don’t stab each other in the back, which would be an idiotic move, the two countries can continue this deal and maintain their relations. This Helps both countries in their security. Ethiopia has Israeli technology that will help to provide for their citizens well well-being, and Israel is telling Enemies that it is there and is going to play the game to win, preferably through diplomatic means.

Link to Article:https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/403404 The Israeli Energy and Infrastructure Minister agreed with the Ethiopian Energy and Water Minister to cooperate in energy/water development, ment, and innovations.
