Costa Rica has decided to use funds to build electric car ports so those that have the electric cars can use them more. CR is doing this in hopes of others then buying electric cars so the emission rate will go down. If this should happen, CR would be within the lines of the Paris Agreement, on which they signed. The fact that CR is doing this, and their country being much smaller, gives hope that other larger countries, such as the United States, would join in on emission reforms and maybe sign with the Paris Climate Accord. Costa Rica is not a very wealthy country but having these posts to charge the car could mean little to no parking fees, if the majority of the country would then have an electric car. As the glaciers melt slowly, CR is helping by doing their part in keeping the glaciers alive. I personally love the fact that they are making this change in spite of their country size, which only have 19 trains, makes this addition to their country even better.
