Nicolas Maduro, president of Venezuela, has declared a ban for opposition parties to not be able to run in next years election. This means that the people that have been trying to take Maduro out of power will now not be able to vote against him. Key figures like Leopoldo Lopez, who has been holding massive protests against his brutal ruling style, will not be able to take part in the presidential vote. Maduro plans to seek re-election in the 2018 election, even though he only has an approval rating of 30 percent. The country is currently suffering a terrible hyperinflation problem of up to 2000 percent just this year. The country can only hope that a new and better president will be put into power to save the country’s economy.
