Brazil is withholding the paychecks of thousands of working citizens due to the economic turmoil they are facing after the drop in global oil and commodity prices. This raises concerns about what will happen to the well being of the population. The people of Brazil are already starting to get upset and frustrated with the instability of their government. They government needs to rethink their actions and find a more transitional option then cutting programs and raising taxes astronomically. The people of Brazil are losing hope in the their government and they will start resorting to more violent protests causing more problems than it solves. Mr. Pezao needs to reevaluate his actions and keep his people informed instead of making their lives miserable behind the scenes. He needs to show courage and stand up and look at multiple ways to help the public instead of blindsiding the population and their bank accounts. He is going to Brasilia to negotiate with the federal government. This is a positive step in gaining the trust of his people back. Brazil has faced a lot of distrust with their government. Pezao should work with the federal government to pay back the debt and find a way to keep programs functioning, for citizens in need. His worry should be not only be about the money, but also about the people who make up the checkbook.
