For the first time in Belize’s history a president from Africa, in this case the president of Rwanda, is visiting the country of Belize in September in order to strengthen the bonds of the two nations. The president of Rwanda also visited Jamaica and Barbados earlier this year.
Rwanda has had a lot of struggles in the past couple of decades, so it makes sense that the country will try to prove itself and get itself out there to the world. But Belize is a small country in central America, and Rwanda is a landlocked country in eastern Africa. While it’s good that countries are having good relations with each other, there doesn’t seem to be much obvious benefit for both countries, especially since Belize probably can’t offer Rwanda in form of trade or power, and vice versa.
This is connected to class because the article involves two nations, and one of which is in my assigned section.
