Recently in Brazil dozens of dolphins were found dead in the bay outside of Rio due to a deadly unknown virus. This is very concerning because of the major pollution in the area and the creation of new diseases. New diseases mixed with issues such as antibiotic resistance are one of the few universal threats against humanity. This has been a growing issue as we saw with zika and now it is affecting other species as well.<\/p>\n
Another huge event which has transpired recently is the scandal around Zuckerberg, Facebook, and Cambridge Analytica. There was a max analysis and unethical transfer of user data from facebook giving away 10s of millions of personal profiles. These profiles were then said to be used to create a psychological profile on the user and be able to create tailored ads to target them and shift their political views. This is very scary because it is mass manipulation of the media and combined with the known Russian bots used to spread false information and promote their favored candidate it has caused a huge distrust in the government.
