Over the past few weeks and months, American media has been covering the migrant caravan as it has advanced it’s way to the Mexican border. Honestly, I have not seen much of an issue with this caravan that has been making it’s way up towards The United States. The amount of money that Donald Trump wants to put into “stopping” the migrant caravan, is ridiculous. In all fairness, how our President addresses the issue of immigration, specifically illegal immigration, hasn’t been the best.<\/p>\n

One of the first things that I recall from the beginning of his presidency was the Muslim ban that he imposed on countries across the globe.<\/p>\n
How President Trump have handled the caravan situation is insensitive and treating these people as less than human. From the conversations that I have had with community members, it seems that everyone believes these people in search of a better life, are only going to steal jobs and take “hard-working” taxpayers’ money. Many people do not realize that they most likely have some internalized racism towards this specific demographic. Pompeo has confirmed President Trump’s reaction being “completely appropriate,” according to CBS News.<\/p>\n
With the upcoming midterm elections and the slack that the Republican party has received from the nation regarding women’s reproductive rights, gun laws, and many other issues, its necessary for them to draw them together with a stronger base. I hate to stereotype, but almost all of the Trump supporters that I have met, support the wall and sending U.S. troops to stop this caravan.<\/p>\n
The weeks leading up to these midterm elections have been incredibly crucial for both parties. Regardless of which party you side with, they both have some sort of faulty logic, it’s politics, no party will be perfect ever.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
