President-elect Donald Trump already questioned a meeting with intelligence officials regarding Russian hacking and openly stated that America needs to “move one” and forget that a foreign country deliberately interfered in our electoral process. \u00a0Now\u00a0Trump has set yet another precedent, choosing to take the word of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange over that of the United States intelligence community. \u00a0There are, at this point, a nearly infinite number of criticisms one can level at the president-elect, but I wish to ask one simple question: Will the insanity ever end? \u00a0A man who would trivialize a nuclear arms race with one of the most powerful nations in the world is a fool. \u00a0A president who sides with a dictator over America is a traitor. \u00a0He ran on “Make America Great Again,” but so far all Donald Trump has done is make America more endangered. \u00a0Now more than ever, we need a president who will stand up to Russia and keep Putin in his box. \u00a0By refusing to acknowledge Russia’s hacking, Trump has allowed himself to operate completely contrary to the platform that won him the presidency. \u00a0Furthermore, he sent a message to the world that our enemies can do whatever they please so long as no airplanes are flown into our buildings. \u00a0Is this nation so far gone that such a standard is acceptable?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
