With the growing fear that they made get their visas revoked, deported, or kicked out of school due to comments made about the US’s decisions around the world. Many countries children are rethinking about coming to the US to study but they are super important for the institutions to survive. 43 Billion dollars went into the economy from international students and losing that type of money is unsustainable. Like the Brown University professor that got deported for openly supporting Hezbollah, even though he had a valid US visa he had gotten deported by homeland security.

The choice that these students are making impact the nations economy largely as they help fund for over 350 thousand jobs here in the United States. That in return sends over 43 billion dollars into the economy promoting economic growth. Many of these students are preferring to go to Europe to study or any other nation. The already straining tensions between Europe and the US mean that they are becoming less reliant on the US as they continue to grow and we grow further apart. This transition is helping them become more independent and they are now able to add more jobs to the economy.

The US could allow more leanency in how they choose to deport and revoke the visas of the people. The Trump administration could return back to how it was and not be so harsh on these students. Us pushing these students away could hold us back from future inventors and scientists. The Trump administration could also make these restrictions harder and lock out a lot more students which wouldn’t be good. Maybe the administration see’s these people supporting these organizations that the US doesn’t approve us as a hostile act. It may be that it goes against our national security or even a threat of our national security. We are going to do whatever’s best for us and if the Trump administration thinks this would help our nation it’s what’s going to happen.

Article Link: https://apnews.com/article/college-admissions-international-student-enrollment-trump-fd8b6b8f298629bbcc7339568b1c76f3 The new policies under the Trump administration make international students studying in the United States fear that if they are safe here in the states.
